Woven Together in 2025: Embracing Change and Celebrating Connections

Dear Friends,
As this year comes to a close, I’ve been spending time reflecting on how much has shifted — quietly, deeply, and sometimes unexpectedly. It’s been a year of change and discovery, one that has asked me to slow down and pay closer attention to what truly matters.

A dear friend fought cancer this year and did well, but the experience upended life in ways I didn’t anticipate. It reshaped my understanding of time, presence, and care — reminders I carry with me every day.
At home, there have been meaningful, life-giving changes within my family. The kind of changes that don’t need to be named directly to be felt — moments of healing, growth, and hope that have brought us closer and strengthened our foundation.
In my business, this year has been about growing with intention rather than speed. I’ve focused more clearly on what feels essential to me:
Building genuine relationships and community
Bringing families together
Making daily life just a little bit easier
Protecting & nurturing my own personal peace
As I move forward, I do so with an awareness of my own privilege — and the responsibility that comes with it. I cannot ignore the brutality we continue to witness: hardworking immigrant families being terrorized and dehumanized by policies rooted in fear rather than care. Holding this truth is uncomfortable, but necessary.
And still — alongside grief and anger — there is beauty.
I’ve been especially inspired this year by the textile traditions of Central and South America and Africa. Handwoven cloth, richly dyed fibers, bold patterns passed down through generations — these fabrics tell stories of survival, celebration, ancestry, and belonging. From vibrant Guatemalan huipiles to West African kente and mud cloth, from Andean weavings to indigo-dyed fabrics across the continent, each piece reflects deep cultural knowledge and collective memory.
These textiles remind me that the richness of our world exists because of its diversity — because of the people, cultures, and traditions that continue to shape it despite immense hardship. They are living proof that beauty and resilience are created through community.
I see my work in much the same way: slow, intentional, relational — something built stitch by stitch, rooted in care for people and place.
As we step into a new year, my hope is to continue creating spaces that feel warm, grounded, and connected — spaces that honor where we come from and who we share this world with.
Thank you for being part of this community. I’m grateful to be woven together with you.
Warmly,
Beth
